John Hernandez

A self-taught musician and manager of Retro Nouveau, John has a background in both live music and studio work. He is a composer and film scorer, as well as a musical director and instructor of both guitar and piano. John has been playing guitar since 1986 and has been musically employed since the age of 12.  He was the winner of Guitar Wars 13, voted "Best Guitarist" 2009-2012 consecutively at the San Antonio Music Awards, and winner of the "Open for Steve Vai" guitar competition 2013. After playing with such acts as Chakare, Sauce The Band, Cristian Castro, Drive, Jay Perez, and Royal Dukes, amongst many others, John decided in 2014 to form his own variety band which is known today as Retro Nouveau. However, John wanted the band to be able to adapt to any stage. Whether they have a normal cover show, are playing a wedding, provide a backing band for a solo artist, host Live Band Karaoke, or get commissioned to produce a tribute show, his goal was to have a band nobody could compare to.

Chad has been singing professionally for 6 years with acts such as Ukranium, 12 Gauge, and Selfish Machines. Chad's first introduction to Retro Nouveau was as a featured singer for their Michael Jackson Tribute shows, and has since become their lead male vocalist. Chad has also performed in musicals such as Rock Of Ages, All Shook Up, and The Rat Pack Lounge. He is an extremely versitile singer and his voice has been compared to Steve Perry, Geoff Tate, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, and Claudio Sanchez. Surprisingly enough, when its time to perform country, or even pop, Chad has the ability to adapt to any genre and sing in a variety of  styles while still achieving his own sound.

Adam Ramirez

Adam started his musical journey on guitar at age 12, he eventually found his home with the bass (he's also a hell of a drummer). Playing in jam sessions and smaller projects over the years he was eventually hired in The Patsy Torres Band by the age of 20. Other associated acts include Cantaloupe St Pierre, Savannah Votion, Valeria Gonzalez, Beatriz y Destino, and Creciendo Fuerte. Proficient in many genres including Funk, Rock, Metal, Latin, Math Rock, Progressive Rock, Djent, and Pop. Aside from John, Adam is one of the longest running musicians in Retro Nouveau. He also has quite an amazing voice, and frequently jumps in on vocals on most gigs!
